Introduction

The use of Data Pages is to retrive the data for your application,regardless of source.Data pages cache data on demand to a clipboard page and define who can access the data page.

When working in dev studio, you create Data Views,also known as Data Pages.In app studio,you can view a list of Data Views associated with a data type.

Scope of Data Page

The Scope captures how widely data is visible in an application.There are 3 levels of a scope

1.Node

2.Requestor

3.Thread

1.Node Level

The Node Level data page makes a single data page instance accessible by all users of the applicaton and other applications running on a given node.

2.Requester Level

The Requester Level scope lets you share data pages for given user session and is often used when the data page contains data assiciated with the logged in operator.For example,our bank accounts balance is unique to the user experiance

3.Thread Level

The Thread Level scope is used when the data page is related to a particular case.

Data Source in Pega

Data source is any source of data that application uses,such as a connector,report defination,or lookup.Data sources are refered in data pages.>/p>
