Classes And Class Hierarchy In PEGA

Within an application,pega groups rules according to their capacity for reuse.Each grouping is a Class.Each application consists of 3 types of classes as

  • 1.Work Class
  • 2.Integration Class
  • 3.Data Class
  • 1.Work Class:

    Work Class contains the rules that describes how to process a case or cases,such as processes,data elements and user interfaces.

    2.Integration Class:

    Integration Class contains the rules that describes how the application interacts with other systems,such as customer database.

    3.Data Class:

    Data Class contains the rules that describes the data objects used in the application,such as customer or collection of order items.

    A class can also contain other classes. A class that contains other class is called Parent Class, while a class that is contained by another class is called Child Class.A child class can reuse, inherit any of the rules that defined for its parent class

    Class Hierarchy

    A class that comprise the application is called Class Hierarchy.The class hierarchy determines how the system archtech can reuse the rules within the apllication.These class hierarchy consists of seversl groups of classes.
